Courage is..

Choosing wisely life’s path;

Trusting your inner voice,

Even when dear ones disagree. 

Standing up for yourself,

Recognizing your worth

And never apologizing for being you;

Certain you deserve the best. 

Holding on patiently to the string of hope;

Though frazzled it may have become,

Even amidst voices harsh.  

Walking away from disrespect;

Moving forward in baby steps,

Cherishing the ones that hold you up

And the music that stirs in your heart.

Accepting the bitter truth of being a mere option

To one you considered  priority;

But still smile and move on; head held high.      

                       

Letting go of the mistakes;

Instead of wallowing in regret 

And building a great future from the lessons;

Reminding yourself ‘it’s always too early to quit’.

Following not the trodden path

But blazing your own trail,

Amidst all the clutter and beyond all obstacles;

Not on mere obligation but out of a great vision!
